Vol. 1 contains views of various Hawaiian Islands, including buildings and scenes around Honolulu, boats, a grass hut, hula dancers in western dress, the leper settlement at Molokai, Spreckelsville and Wailuku on Maui, cane fields on Oahu, waterfalls on Kauai, volcano scenes and lava flows at Hilo, the town of Hilo, etc. Vol. 2 contains views of Fiji and New Zealand, as well as maps, clippings and various tourist ephemera pertaining to these areas; also contains maps of Hawaii. Vols. 3 and 4 contain postcards and snapshots of scenic views throughout California. Loose photographs depict Faye family members and other persons, Faye residences in Hawaii, a wave at Kaiahulu, a panoramic view of the Kalalau Valley, and scenes in the Sierra Nevada. Individuals depicted include Hans Peter Faye, Anton Faye, Valdemar Borchgrevink, Carl Borchgrevink and Sophie Borchgrevink Faye. Etchings depict California oak trees and an unidentified landscape, possibly in Norway.
